Today I heard from one of my dealers who recently purchased a Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge franchise in the greater Atlanta area. He presented me with the challenge of finding an experienced Sales Manager/Closer to take his new franchise to the next level of volume...and has put a very lucrative carrot out there for any candidate who meets his strict criteria. He will pay a $20,000 guarantee if they achieve certain goals and meet certain requirements. With almost 10,000 candidates in our database the challenge does not lie in finding a Sales Manager/Closer... it's finding the right Sales Manager/Closer! Well...that would be any customer that comes in for a demo, information, a brochure, or a service customer that says, "I'm thinking about buying my wife a......" and ends up talking to a salesman. This does NOT include a parts customer. The dealership as a whole is closing 20% of their up count, so it's not a far stretch. They keep incredible track of their ups, and have great lot control so I know this to be accurate. Every car that pulls in to their dealership is accounted for! They know who is driving it and the purpose for their visit.
